B7 destination DORNOCH. The AEC Renown in its many forms was a great favorite with Highland. LST 501 is depicted here in original Highland livery.

Logans ran several old buses and coaches for workers transport on major contracts. Some were painted in company livery like this example.

BMS 402, destination TAIN. Highland Omnibuses ran a number of these wonderfully stylish old Burlingham bodied Daimlers.

C21 destination EMBO. In its later days this lovely old bus was based at Dornoch for local runs to Embo, Golspie, Lairg etc.

Newtons top line coaches carried NT registrations. This Volvo is a typical example of their spectacular fleet.

Highlands Fabricators ran a fleet of venerable old buses, supplied by Newtons of Dingwall, as internal works transport for their vast Nigg oil rig construction yard.

Guy Arab HGC 148 was re-bodied in the 1950s resulting in a well proportioned and very good looking bus.

ATLANTEAN BUS, 146 ENN - NEWTONS COACHES, DINGWALL.

Newtons black & white buses were a common sight in the Highlands in the 70s & 80s with many employed on staff transport for the huge Highlands Fabricators oil rig construction yard at Nigg. Newtons had two of these Atlanteans.

BST 325, destination TAIN. The Guy Arab double decker was the preferred choice by Highland for many years. Depicted here in original Highland maroon livery.

Although a generic model this one captures well the look of a typical Newtons coach, so well known in the north.

The real JSF 825 was a Baby Seagull re-body on a Bedford chassis. After service with Highland it passed to an independent operator in the west.

Fred Newton started his taxi & coach business in Conon Bridge, later moving to Dingwall where it grew into a large bus & coach fleet and car dealership.

ESC 441 was a breakdown tender converted from an ancient AEC bus.It was based at Thurso depot and carries trade plate 247ST. Not one of my original models but a major refurbishment job for a friend.
