I HAVE BEEN BUILDING MODELS OF CHARLIES WAGONS FOR MANY YEARS NOW. A LEGENDARY COMPANY WITH LEGENDARY DRIVERS. THESE MEN REALLY WERE ON THE "LAST FRONTIER" AND IT HAS BEEN MY PRIVILAGE TO MEET SOME OF THEM OVER THE YEARS AND WHAT STORIES THEY TELL....YOU GUYS WERE "THE BUSINESS".

Last in a long line of Charles Alexander Octopus 8 wheelers these ergo cabbed lorries looked great in the blue & sliver second livery. This model carries a scratchbuilt "Lancashire Flat" loaded with fish boxes. These de-mountable bodies speeded up trans-shipment of cargo especially at docks etc.

"The Buggies" plied the streets of Aberdeen between the market, fish houses, cold stores etc. round the clock. A largely forgotten aspect of the once huge fish industry in Aberdeen.

This Albion Clydesdale is a typical example of the classic fish wagons used by Charlies from the mid 1960's in the second blue & silver livery.

CRG 279 started life way back in 1947 as a 4 wheel flat and was later cut down into an artic unit and fitted with many updates and later 1950's style cab.
